There are different ways to generate Unicode telugu text. The well known schemes are:

RTS: Rice Transliteration Scheme Inscript ITrans

RTS

RTS is a key mapping which converts text typed in english to telugu.

For Ex:

If you want to write అమ్మ you write amma.

Many tools already exist which make this task easier. Below are a list of them:

• Lekhini - An online tool created by veeven using padma. Widely used among the telugu bloggers.
• Padma - A javascript based online tool created by Venna Nagarjuna. This is used to build many other tools with a neater interface.

Inscript

Inscript is a telugu keyboard layout just as we have an english keyboard layout.
